Avoid at all cost June 10, 2010 M. Klein I got this for my son who was 4 1/2 at the time, set it up and it was worthless. The balls didn't come out straight, there was a problem with the balls falling down the chute to early which then caused me to have shut the thing off and start over again. just avoid this pile of recycled plastic..Not worth the hassle; even at free, I would pass.
Sports Pitching Machine May 24, 2010 J. Ruud (New Braunfels, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this for my 5 year old grandson who has started T-Ball. He loved the pitching machine and it was a hit in the neighborhood, but because there were little boys playing with it, they have already broken part of it!
Buy lots of batteries May 16, 2010 M. Lott 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my seven year old for soft toss batting practice. It's to inconsistent to use as batting practice in any fashion. One pitch will be right down the middle, the next will go behind his back and the next will be 10 feet outside. It's good if you want to practice catching line drives or short fly balls. That's it. I am going to bite the bullet and purchase a real pitching machine. Also we went through 8 "D" batteries in less than an hour. I hope this helps.
Missing Items May 14, 2010 Daniel P. Brennan Jr. (Pittsburgh) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
They say you are to get a 27 inch bat and 8 baseballs. but twice now i have not received the balls or the bat! i have called and complained, and was assured they would check the order before sending it out so that they did not forget the bat or balls again, but, you guessed it they forgot the bat and balls. and now they are claiming there is nothing they can do. so you pay for a complete set of items, but you end up with just a pitching machine without a bat to play with it. my 7 year old was crushed. now i have to go out and get him a bat! thanks a lot amazon!

Used For First Time Today! April 4, 2010 Rainbow (Southern IL United States) I got this at Target, for myself (LOL!), and I put this on a small, one-person bench outside, and box on top of it, then the pitcher. I was getting a lot of hits, but not all of them. Some, however, as fair warned in the directions, some will come too short. But I made some pretty awesome homers. I only got this because it was on sale, for at regular price, it was outside my budget. My munchkin enjoyed this as well. It DOES shoot in different angles, but it doesn't have to be considered bad; it teaches what to hit and what not. You don't have to stand real far from it, maybe just 3 yards or so. I cannot comment yet on how fast the batteries go. I'll be enjoying this lots and LOTS! :)
My munchkin enjoyed it so much he told me I was the best mommy ever! AW!
I did not get more balls for this yet.
