Helped for Judo and Juijitsu, but not up to par.. May 29, 2010 J. Prince (nc) I really needed pads for Judo practice, my kneed constantly were getting injured, these help ALOT: However, the nature of Judo requires non stop action and these knee pads can not keep up, they constantly start to fall down and with alot of use the threads come loose.. The material and padding quality is excellent, just be prepared to keep pulling the up..
Awesome Knee Pad May 28, 2010 william geer (Indiana) Awesome, I use these for Kuk Sool practice (Korean MA) at least twice a week. Lots of throws and break falls and no more banged up knees. Just enough cushion and support, does not slip and keeps my knees warmed up. I have not had any problems with the seams or quality and I even put them in the washer.
cant say its the pads fault April 29, 2010 Glenn D. Cooper I bought these to replace my Air Brace pads for judo as they got good reviews. I only wore one a few times when I sustained an injury to my knee. Bad luck perhaps as I never had this happen with my old pads but it makes you wonder. Perhaps I should have spent the extra money and replaced my knee pads with the same ones I was always using.
They are pretty comfortable and slim. Probably just a freak accident I suppose.
so far so good February 11, 2010 Harvey Hensley (Newtown Square, PA United States) Using for judo and bjj (go and nogi). THey stay on fairly well, and provide substantial padding. Jury still out on how durable they are
Love it! October 11, 2009 Ian Mikulas (CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
After a knee injury at a Judo tournament sidelined me, I began looking for a knee pad I could wear daily to protect my healing knee from unexpected falls, as well as keep it warm and supported. This knee pad does it all. My knee is healed, and I still wear this knee pad during Judo practice, tournaments, and anything that presents a risk of re injuring my knee.It is light, comfortable, low-profile(i routinely wear it under street clothes), and stays in place. I even wore it while surfing and it didn't budge. I cannot recommend this pad enough. 5/5
